At Northwest College, we believe in meeting students where they are on their academic journey. That's why we offer comprehensive placement testing for Math and English classes. While we're a test optional school, we encourage students to provide their ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER, or ALEKS test scores to ensure they are placed in the appropriate college-level classes. Our goal is to support your success by tailoring your education to your current skills and knowledge. 

For transfer students or those who completed placement tests more than three years ago, we may request additional placement exams to ensure you're placed correctly, especially for specific programs of study. This personalized approach ensures that every student receives the support they need to excel academically and achieve their goals at Northwest College. 

We offer ACCUPLACER for English placement and ALEKS for Math placement. A $25 placement fee will allow you to take both tests up to 5 times. If you do not score at the level you wish to be at, you will be able to log back into the testing program, study what you missed, and then come back to campus to retake the test.
